Gumayusi Praises New Champion Yunara but Warns of Early-Game Weakness

T1’s star ADC, Gumayusi, shared his thoughts on League of Legends’ new champion, Yunara, calling her “really fun” and “pretty good” after trying her out post-EWC 2025. On a livestream, he described Yunara as a hybrid of Twitch and Zeri, highlighting her strong teamfight presence and unique mobility. “She’s definitely OP right now,” he noted, pointing to her W and E abilities as particularly Zeri-like.

However, Gumayusi did flag one potential weakness: her laning phase. While not especially weak, he said it could leave her vulnerable to early-game jungle pressure. That said, he doesn’t think it’s a major issue. The champion still feels solid overall, but her real impact will only be clear once she’s tested in pro play. With the meta and potential counters still unknown, Yunara's full potential remains to be seen on the competitive stage.
