This season, Carlos Sainz Jr. has been pushing himself beyond his limits as a Formula 1 driver, and he just revealed a new position. He will serve as an ambassador for the newest race on the Formula One calendar, the "Madring," in 2026. Even though Williams driver Carlos Sainz is still getting used to his new team, he has taken on a few additional responsibilities.
Earlier this year, Sainz was appointed as the Grand Prix Drivers' Association's new leader. The organization represents F1 drivers' interests and works to promote safety and respect between teams and the FIA. Sainz was now in a different position. He will be acting as an official representative of the Madring, a hybrid street circuit that will be added to the Formula One schedule in 2026. Barcelona will be the only Spanish Grand Prix in 2027, although Madrid will join them on the F1 2026 grid as Spain's representatives.
