The English summer to witness the Hundred where eight teams battle each other from July 21. Many including Kane Williamson had backed off from the 100-ball cricket competition with the latter tending to his elbow injury. New Zealand skipper withdrew from the inaugural edition after staying out from the ODI series against Bangladesh and IPL 2021 and is now down to mentoring for the Birmingham Phoenix continuing his stay in the UK following the WTC title win against India. Finn Allen is expected to replace Williamson.
Other stunts include Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi’s withdrawal, South Africa fast bowler Lungi Ngidi welsh siding, Shafali Verma replacing Sophie Devine, David Warner, and Marcus Stoinis’s pull out, Harmanpreet Kaur opening for Manchester Originals and Jemimah Rodrigues siding Northern Superchargers. The ECB brainchild is all set to stage the best men and world starting with the women's teams of Oval Invincibles and Manchester Originals waging on July 21.
