Ajax forward Kasper Dolberg has successfully undergone surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament injury he sustained during a training session with the Danish national team over the recent international break. The procedure was carried out in Copenhagen on Tuesday and marks the first step in the striker’s recovery journey.
The Danish international will remain in his home country for a short period to allow the operated knee adequate rest before returning to the Netherlands. Once back in Amsterdam, he will continue rehabilitation under the supervision of Ajax’s medical and performance staff.
Speaking through the club’s official channels, Dolberg expressed satisfaction that the operation had gone according to plan but acknowledged the injury represents a major setback. The striker said his attention is now fully focused on recovery and regaining full fitness.
Ajax have yet to provide a timeline for his return, prioritising a careful rehabilitation programme over the coming months ahead.
