Mercedes will run a special livery at the Bahrain Grand Prix, relocated to Sepang due to conflict in the Middle East, marking the team’s first Malaysian appearance in nine years. The championship leaders will abandon their usual silver‑and‑black look for a design centred on Petronas green, honouring the historic partnership with the Malaysian energy giant. For this weekend, the W17s of Antonelli and Russell will feature green as the primary colour, with silver reduced to a thin accent.
Team principal Toto Wolff said the event carries particular significance, praising both Malaysia and Bahrain for the cooperation required to stage the race. He also welcomed Formula 1’s return to Sepang, a venue long associated with Petronas. The one‑off livery underscores Mercedes’ connection to its title sponsor while adding a distinctive visual twist to a crucial weekend in the 2026 championship fight.
