LeBron James’ move to Philadelphia stems from personal trust and basketball logic. Maxey was among the first to call James after he informed the Lakers he would not return, urging him to join the Sixers and help elevate the team’s ambitions.

James also pointed to the arrival of Jaylen Brown, calling the trade a surprise masterstroke. He admires Brown’s two‑way impact, competitive mindset and the respect he has earned throughout his career.
