Haas slump deepens with double retirement at Zandvoort

Haas’ difficult run worsened at the Dutch Grand Prix, where both Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon retired due to technical issues on the VF‑26. The team had already been struggling for form, having failed to score points since Monaco, but Zandvoort marked their first double DNF of the season. Bearman’s race ended during the formation lap after the red‑flag stoppage caused by Max Verstappen’s crash, with the British driver reporting a complete shutdown of the car and uncertainty over the cause. Ocon managed to take the restart but later retired with a confirmed Ferrari power‑unit failure, ending his streak of consecutive finishes from Australia to Hungary.

The Frenchman noted that reliability had not been a concern until now, but both cars suffered problems and were outside the points regardless. The setback comes as Audi closes in on Haas in the Constructors’ standings, trailing by just five points ahead of Monza.
