South Africa and Zimbabwe to tour Namibia ahead of 2027 Africa Cup

Namibia will welcome South Africa and Zimbabwe later this month for a white‑ball tour featuring a T20I tri‑series and a three‑match ODI series against South Africa. All fixtures are scheduled at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek, with the T20Is running from August 28 to September 6 and the ODIs beginning on September 9. The event also serves as a precursor to the Africa Cup, set to launch in 2027, aimed at expanding top‑level opportunities for African nations.

Profits from the tri‑series will be donated to the Africa Cricket Association to support development across the continent. Cricket Namibia CEO Johan Muller praised the collaboration with South Africa and Zimbabwe, highlighting shared ambitions for regional growth. With all three countries preparing to co‑host the 2027 Cricket World Cup, Cricket South Africa CEO Pholetsi Moseki believes the tour will build momentum and strengthen ties ahead of next year’s global tournament.
