Bronny’s path stays in L.A.

Bronny James will not follow his father to Philadelphia — at least not in the plans laid out by agent Rich Paul. LeBron’s departure from the Lakers reopened the question surrounding Bronny’s next step, but Paul has made it clear the two are not a packaged deal. With no trade discussions in motion and free agency nearly wrapped, the most realistic scenario remains Bronny staying in Los Angeles.

The Lakers drafted him, invested in his development and view him as a young asset, especially after a season in which he averaged 2.9 points in 8.9 minutes. His contract for next year is already guaranteed, and the organization continues to involve him fully: he attended Summer League in Las Vegas and joined a mini‑camp with veterans. While LeBron prepares for his 24th season with the Sixers, all signs indicate Bronny will enter year three in purple and gold.
