Kenya’s Harambee Stars will return to action in the June international window with two friendly matches arranged in Central Asia as part of their preparations for the AFCON 2027 qualifiers. The team will meet Kyrgyzstan on June third before facing Palestine on June sixth, fixtures confirmed by the Football Kenya Federation. The matches follow Kenya’s participation in the FIFA Series in March, where they finished third after defeating Grenada 3‑0 in Kigali. Their campaign had ended earlier with a narrow penalty shootout loss to Estonia after a 1‑1 draw in regulation time.
The upcoming friendlies will give coach Benni McCarthy and his staff another opportunity to assess the squad and build cohesion ahead of a demanding competitive calendar. FKF officials welcomed the fixtures, emphasising their importance as Kenya prepare to co‑host AFCON 2027 alongside Uganda and Tanzania. The games are viewed as valuable steps in strengthening the team’s structure and depth.
