Pakistan recall Baig for T20 World Cup and Ireland tri‑series

Pakistan have confirmed their 15‑player squad for both the Women’s T20 World Cup and the preceding tri‑series in Ireland, where they will face the hosts and the West Indies from May 28 to June 4. Captain Fatima Sana leads a group featuring six players set for their first World Cup appearance: Eyman Fatima, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Saira Jabeen and Tasmia Rubab, while Diana Baig returns in place of Amber Kainat. Six reserves have also been named.

Pakistan open their World Cup campaign against India on June 14 in Birmingham, followed by fixtures against South Africa, Bangladesh, Australia and the Netherlands. Warm‑up matches against Sri Lanka and Scotland are scheduled for June 6 and 9 in Derby. The squad arrives in England after sweeping Zimbabwe in a home T20 series, giving the team confidence as they prepare for a demanding tournament schedule.
