Young cruises to six‑shot Cadillac Championship victory

Cameron Young delivered a commanding display to win the Cadillac Championship by six strokes, securing his third PGA Tour title with a composed final round at Trump National Doral. The world number four overcame a self‑called penalty on the second hole, steadying himself to card a four‑under 68 and finish at nineteen‑under 269 for the week. His victory made him only the third wire‑to‑wire champion at Doral and the first since 1977.

Young, who turns twenty‑nine on Thursday, has enjoyed a strong season, adding this triumph to wins at Greensboro last August and the Players Championship in March, along with a third‑place finish at the Masters. His margin matched the largest ever recorded at Doral, last achieved in 1976.

Heavy overnight rain delayed the final round of the twenty‑million‑dollar signature event, but Young remained unfazed. Scottie Scheffler finished second on 275, one shot ahead of fellow American Ben Griffin.
