Eriksen eyes EURO 2028, not retirement yet

Christian Eriksen has made clear he is not finished with international football, stating his ambition is to help Denmark qualify for the 2028 European Championship. Speaking to Viaplay, the midfielder said he still feels deeply connected to the national team, even if the long‑term picture remains uncertain. Eriksen admitted he has occasionally reflected on stepping away, but each time returns to the simple truth that he loves representing his country and wants to continue as long as he is selected.

He added that he intends to speak with national coach Brian Riemer to understand how he fits into future plans, stressing he remains available whenever called upon. Eriksen has already amassed an extraordinary one hundred forty‑nine caps for Denmark, and his experience continues to carry weight within the squad. For now, his focus is firmly on contributing to another major tournament campaign.
