AFC shifts postponed Champions League ties to Jeddah

The Asian Football Confederation has confirmed that four postponed Asian Champions League Elite fixtures will be relocated to Jeddah and contested as single‑leg ties next month. The matches were originally scheduled for early March across Qatar, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, but escalating conflict in the Middle East forced their suspension.

Defending champions Al Ahli will meet Qatar’s Al Duhail, while four‑time winners Al Hilal face Al Sadd. Shabab Al‑Ahli take on Iran’s Tractor FC, and Al‑Wahda meet Saudi Pro League title‑holders Al Ittihad. All four ties will now be played on April 13 and 14, preceding the competition’s centralised finals stage.

Jeddah had already been selected to host the quarter‑finals, semi‑finals and final between April 16 and 25. On the Eastern side of the draw, last‑16 matches are complete, with Vissel Kobe, Machida Zelvia, Buriram United and Johor Darul Ta’zim advancing. The quarter‑final draw will be held in Kuala Lumpur.
