Jesse Lingard has officially found a new home, signing with Corinthians on a deal running through 2026, with an additional year triggered by performance clauses, reuniting the former England international with Memphis Depay, his old Manchester United teammate. Lingard, 33, arrives from FC Seoul and has already begun training under head coach Dorival Júnior, making him immediately eligible for upcoming Brasileirao Betano fixtures.
He becomes only the second English‑born player to represent Corinthians, following Colin Kazim‑Richards, who won domestic titles with the club in 2017. Lingard’s career has included spells at Leicester, Birmingham, Brighton, Derby County, West Ham and Nottingham Forest, as well as participation in the 2018 World Cup. Before committing to Corinthians, he held talks with newly promoted Remo, though negotiations collapsed.
Lingard is the club’s seventh signing this season as Corinthians prepare for the Copa Libertadores and aim to improve on last year’s struggles.
