Nepal have appointed former Australia seamer Ian Harvey for T20 World Cup

Nepal has appointed former Australian seamer Ian Harvey as their men's bowling consultant ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. Harvey will join the coaching staff under Stuart Law, Nepal’s current head coach.

The fifty-three-year-old was renowned for his clever variations and changes of pace during his playing career. He brings immense experience, having played seventy-three ODIs for Australia, claiming eighty-five wickets, and scoring an impressive 715 runs. Harvey was also a crucial member of the squad that won the 2003 ODI World Cup. Following his retirement, he successfully coached Gloucestershire. His technical knowledge is expected to boost Nepal's attack significantly.

Nepal is set to open their World Cup campaign against England on February 8 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This strategic addition to the staff highlights Nepal's ambition to compete strongly against the world's best teams in the upcoming global cricket showcase event.
